Today, Tennessee lost a piece of its heart.

Here at Jolene’s Hideaway, Dolly Parton has always felt a little closer to home. Our name carries a small piece of a song that began in the mountains of East Tennessee and went on to become part of the soundtrack of the world.

But Dolly gave us so much more than music. She gave us laughter, generosity, kindness, grit, rhinestones, and an enduring reminder that you can come from very little and still leave an extraordinary mark on the world.

The Smoky Mountains will never quite feel the same.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the memories, and for making East Tennessee shine so brightly.
