Last night, historic downtown Sevierville came alive for History & Haunts, bringing families and our community together for an evening of local history, fall fun, and a spectacular fireworks finale! 🎆

One of the things we love about Sevierville is that the fun goes beyond the big attractions. Throughout the year, our hometown hosts free, family-friendly events that create special memories and remind us what makes this community so wonderful.

And when you’re ready for even more adventure? Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just a short drive away!

🍁 October has arrived, cueing nature's most dazzling show. But did you know that some of those colors were there all along?

As days grow shorter and temperatures begin to drop, deciduous trees—those that shed their leaves—start their seasonal change. The green chlorophyll in the leaf begins to break down, revealing carotenoids—yellows and oranges—that were previously masked by the green pigment. At the same time, sugars trapped in the leaves help produce anthocyanins, the pigments behind autumn’s deep reds and purples.

🌳 Different trees = different hues (and the Smokies have over 100 species!)

So next time you’re admiring the autumn leaves, remember: it’s not just gorgeous, it’s science.

We love a good ol’ fashioned southern way of predicting the winter weather! Who else grew up looking for woolly worms or cutting open persimmon seeds?? 🤚 🐛 ❄️

What do the Wooly Worms mean ? I rarely use AI because people keep asking and I have no idea how to create something like this myself.
