Rose Mountain Cottages Rose Mountain Cottages is a renewed bungalow colony in Shandaken, NY, in the heart of the Catskills. There is 1/4 private frontage on the Esopus River.

"Rose Mountain Cottages" was built as Feitzingers Cabins in the late 1940s. It was a traditional Bungalow Colony with one- and two-bedroom cabins. Currently, two fully independent cabins have been renovated and are available for year-round rental. The property has 62 acres of private wooded mountain for hiking, snowshoeing and general outdoor enjoyment. We have converted the old swimming pool into a lily pond and garden area.

Looks like the predictions are holding for considerable snow Sunday and Monday. Given the cold this should be light fluffy powder, good news for those who ski! Keep an eye on the weather and exercise appropriate caution! Stay safe out there!

COOLING CENTER ACTIVATION ❄️ Due to the anticipated High Temperatures, Cooling Centers will be open as follows:
 
Sunday, June 22 – Thursday, June 26, from 9 AM – 6PM, at the 2nda Iglesia La Mision Church, 80 Elmendorf St, in Kingston.
 
Monday, June 23 – Thursday, June 26, from 9 AM – 5PM, at the Trudy Center, 50 Center St, in Ellenville.

The Kingston center is operated by Catholic Charities, and can be contacted directly at (845) 481-4549.
 
The Trudy Center can be reached at (845) 210-8101.

Law Enforcement agencies or any other organizations that come in contact with or become aware of any individuals who are in need of shelter can bring them to the cooling center.
