Please come by and look at our two new additions to our lobby. The coal stove is believed to be orignal room heating stove, possibly used until the RR stopped serving Shaniko in the late 1940's. Self contained gas stoves were installed, and used until the central heating system was installed in the late 1980's. Thank you Ernie Martin for loaning it to the Hotel.

The beautiful National Cash Register was originally made for the Antelope Drug Company, Oct. 22, 1904 and is listed as a No. 5. Believed to be salvaged after a fire, not sure when the Columbia Southern Hotel (Original Name) acquired it.

Note: National Cash Register Co. made each register at time of order.

We are always looking for original Shaniko artifacts to be housed or loaned to our museum like hotel.

It is with great regret that we must announce the cancellation of 2nd Saturday this month as well as a TEMPORARY closure of the hotel due to a water pump issue that affects the entire town. We anticipate the pump being installed and running by next week. We will be sure to let everyone know as soon as we get water back to the town and we are operational again. Thank you for your understanding, and we will look forward to NEXT month's 2nd Saturday's gathering. Third time's the charm!!!!

Alright, already! Mother Nature is SO pushy! We WON'T have Second Saturday then. Geeze, we don't know why she's so anti-social! Just demands her way by covering us with a thick white blanket so no one can even see the hotel! We'll have it NEXT month then!
Stay safe and warm out there, friends! Hotel is still open if you're on the road and need a nice, warm place to rest!
