Some places are more than somewhere to stay. They become part of the community.
Since 1930, this property has been a place where families gathered, friendships were made, and memories were shared.
Originally known as Eckert’s Lodge, Charlie and Eloise Eckert built more than a hotel and tavern. They built a place that became part of the Shaver Lake community.
And when a devastating fire changed everything, the community came together to help them rebuild.
Neighbors gave their time. Local families donated supplies. Friends stepped in to help keep the business going.
