If you’re still trying to sneak in one more hardwater adventure this season… this is the one.

Nate Shalley’s Ice Castle rental on Caribou Lake is holding strong with good ice, clean access, and fishable conditions while a lot of other areas are starting to wave the white flag. 💪

We just got this fresh video update from Nate and it’s exactly what you want to see this time of year —
✔️ Solid ice
✔️ Easy travel to the shack
✔️ Comfort waiting when you get there

These are some of the last prime dates of the season in a part of the state that’s still locked up and ready to go.

🔥 LATE ICE UPDATE + A MASSIVE THANK YOU 🔥

First — we are absolutely blown away by this season.

Because of our incredible hosts and the amazing anglers who booked through ShackShare, we have TRIPLED our rentals from last year. That’s not just growth… that’s a community. We’re beyond grateful for every single person who trusted us to be part of their time on the ice. 💙

Now for the late ice report.

With this recent warm-up we’re seeing a wide range of conditions depending on the lake:

🧊 Some areas are still holding strong, solid, fishable ice
⚠️ Others are beginning to show signs of deterioration

That’s the reality of late ice — and it can change fast.

We will continue to keep a close eye on conditions and report what we see, and just as importantly:

Our hosts are true local experts on their lakes and access points.
Before any outing takes place, make sure you are well informed so you can make the right decision for your trip.

Late ice can bring some of the best fishing of the entire season — it’s just the time of year to stay smart, stay updated, and lean on local knowledge.
