Nicole and I officially started our vacation today. We came up to Camp grumpy old man Aka SDC. We came up to celebrate our great friends Stacy and Mike to celebrate their marriage together….looking forward to having a great time. This is part one of our vacation.

This past weekend myself along with Paul, Sam,Bob and his boys Bobby and Cody. We went up for The Cherry Grove Golf outing. The department puts on a great outing. Each year they pick a family or an individual who needs help financially due to a illness or other serious circumstances that came about. It’s always a pleasure and honor to be part of that.

I took the guys to Jake’s Rock overlook and to Rimrock overlook. Was an adventure and let’s say we kinda got lost lol at Rimrock lol. Guys enjoyed until the climb up…. Haha.

At camp we gambled and had a great steak dinner. Took the guys down to The VFW played pool and a couple of pull tabs. It was a great weekend.

Last thing found a street named after Bob…lol

Was able to spend 5 glorious days with my wife and our friends. Went to NY to do some shopping wink wink… went swimming in the river….hung out with Stacy and Mike drank ate blew of fireworks over all is was a great time.

We had a productive time at SDC, also known as Grumpy Old Men. Several projects are currently underway, and we successfully completed two of them, including the installation of a new wall in the living room, which turned out exceptionally well. Anthony did a great job, and our new wood bin is a valuable addition. It's satisfying to see projects reach completion and in a timely matter. Just remember the red rocket still exist that’s an inside joke for some of us. Always great time with friends as well. Dad was his usual self goofy and sharing his wild stories from the army.

My father and I arrived at SDC last night, where my nephew Anthony has been working on several projects since Sunday, including one that was overdue. I would like to extend special recognition to my nephew Anthony and colleagues Curtis, Shawn, Taco, and Carson for their reliability and dedication to completing tasks up here at camp.

We recently undertook several improvements at SDC, where regrettably, a significant amount of alcohol was reportedly consumed by one individual, notably Taco. Our renovations included replacing the dilapidated back door and added a new door along with a screen door . Additionally, we installed a copper ceiling in the dining room, complemented by new lighting fixtures and a ceiling fan in the patio lean-to. Special appreciation is extended to Curtis, Shawn, Carson, and maybe Taco for their contributions, while Frank oversaw the project, providing guidance and oversight to the team. Got some additional projects in the works.
