Bashaw Lake Resort is a family owned and operated vacation facility on Bashaw Lake, a 170 acre lake in Shell Lake, Burnett County, Wisconsin. The resort provides four furnished and equipped house keeping cabins for rent on a weekly or nightly (two night minimum) basis. In the future, the Resort also has RV campsites, with water and electrical hook-up, rented nightly, weekly or seasonally. Guests w

ill have access to all resort facilities, docks, waterfront and other amenities. The Resort is located on nearly 12 wooded acres with over 900 feet of lake frontage. In addition for the cabins and campsites, it has an office, fish cleaning house, a playground, and piers. We are conveniently located within 15-20 minutes from Shell Lake, Spooner and Siren, Wisconsin.

One of our phone numbers was recently hit with a spam call attack with nearly two dozen robocalls per hour at one point. We did need to activate a call screening function temporarily. If you hit that screener, please follow its instructions to be connected or leave a message. You may also text or email us. We are sorry for any inconveniece. It is a bad situation to have to use the screener, but it will hopefully only be for a short time. It is down to 6 spam calls this morning.

We have been a bit dry up here and they had fire danger warnings. We finally got our first good rain of the spring at 1.77 inches yesterday. That translates to over a half million gallons of water falling on the Resort property. The including chart breaks down the totals.

Apparently, the pelicans that were here a few days ago gave our lake a good review as this larger flock was on the lake ...

Apparently, the pelicans that were here a few days ago gave our lake a good review as this larger flock was on the lake this morning. There was a second group about as large a little further south on the lake.

American White Pelicans on the lake today. This is the first time we have seen pelicans here. It is a busy lake today with some swans and dozens of black and white ducks. There are also a half dozen or more loons on the water doing dives. Earlier, a bald eagle took a swoop over all of them to check things out.

The swans, ducks and geese are back in the area and on the lake.

So far, we missed most of what they were predicting. We have, on Sunday afternoon, about 4-6 inches of new snow and a little wind, but, to this point, nothing like the 18 inches of snow and 40+ MPH winds they said we could get.
