Today is Giving Tuesday, but honestly… our community has been giving long before the calendar told them to.

From the holiday meals you’ve helped us provide, to the winter coats you dropped off, to the donations that showed up exactly when we needed them most. You’ve made sure our neighbors are supported, fed, and never forgotten.

🧡 A Thanksgiving Evening Thank-You from the Ruby Valley Food Pantry 🧡

As this Thanksgiving winds down and kitchens go quiet, we just want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for this community.

Today, families across Sheridan, Alder, and Virginia City sat down to warm meals because of the generosity of neighbors who continue to show up, give, and care. Whether you donated food, shared our posts, volunteered your time, or quietly helped someone in need, you made a real difference.

We’re thankful for every one of you.

If tonight feels heavy for anyone in our valley, if food is tight, if the holidays are hard, or if you just need a little support, please know we’re here. You’re part of this community, too.

💛 Community Shoutout: Thank You, Country Roots! 💛

We want to take a minute to brag on Country Roots, because they’ve been absolute rockstars for the Ruby Valley Food Pantry this entire year.

From steady donations of laundry soap, dish soap, and toiletpaper, to the countless little ways they’ve shown up for our community, their support has made a real difference for local families. These everyday essentials go a long way, and they’ve helped us keep our shelves stocked when it mattered most.

We’re so grateful to have partners like Country Roots who lead with heart and community spirit.

🌟 Troop 3535 in Action! 🌟

Today our amazing Girl Scouts from Troop 3535 put their kindness into motion by delivering food donations for the Ruby Valley Pantry.

With smiling faces and helping hands, the girls collected a variety of items and delivered and stocked the pantry shelves to support families in our community.

From sorting canned goods to filling gaps on the shelves, these Scouts showed what service, teamwork, and compassion look like in action. 💚

We’re so proud of their dedication to making a real difference. Thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered them on in the school jump start food drive challenge!! We have the best community!
