Vintage Sears and Roebuck Cottage built as physician's office in the heart of Sherwood's Old Town. 20 minute drive to downtown Portland. The Space
This cozy cottage sits along side a forgotten alley and is tucked under the arm of an ancient sitka spruce tree in the center of Sherwood's beloved Old Town. The nights are quiet and the privacy of this little house continually reminds me that I might f
ind a little peace here. It has been called the "healing house." It is tiny, 650 square feet or thereabouts, but very comfortable and big enough for a piano in the corner to play. The kitchen is small, but enough, and equipped with everything you need to cook. I made the courtyard about 10 years ago with a recycled concrete wall and a poured patio. My neighbors honeysuckle has grown up and over the fence and I let it because it smells so good in blossom. It is very private and a nice place to spend an evening. Come to visit or come to stay a while. Guest Access
Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Magness Tree Farm. Sherwood, Oregon is gateway to the Willamette Valley wine country. Also, not far, about an hour, Oregon Coast or Mt Hood. Interaction with Guests
As a general rule, I like to leave guests to their privacy, but if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. The Neighborhood
Sherwood Old Town is quintessential Americana from another era. What I like best, is that you can walk. Forested walking trails, Stella Olsen Park, Clancy's pub, Symposium Coffee, DaMimmo's, Painted Plate, Escape to Yoga, Rainbow Market, Railroad Antiques, and the Library all within a block or two. It is idillic. Getting around
