Aside from refinishing some of the woodwork, we have completed our renovation of the main vestibule. The brass pendant light, now fully restored and polished, is a converted old gas lamp which we suspect was original to the house. The wallpaper is Eternal Weave by Graham & Brown, whose deep emerald background complements the rich tones of the oak wainscoting and trim wonderfully. The original encaustic floor tile has been polished and looks brighter than it probably has in decades. The bench is an antique piece from Germany that we were told may have been converted from a bed.
We would like to offer a special thanks to Gary Harglerode for his extensive help and advice.
