Immerse yourself in nature and discover breathtaking vistas around every turn, when you stay in our spacious, renovated guesthouse full of amenities.
About the place-
Aside from four bedrooms with enough space for a friends-getaway or two families, with children in tow, the house contains two living rooms (one with wood burning stove), a fully equipped kitchen, multiple dining areas inside and out, and a quiet tech-centric office alcove for those who need to โplug-inโ for a moment or two. High speed WiFi, library of books and board games and whole-property generator keep our guests as connected as they wish. BYO-streaming device.
We are currently offering mostly weekly bookings. Please reach out if you wish to discuss specific dates for your trip and we will do our best to accommodate.
The Guesthouse can easily accommodate a quiet group of 8+ but is not too large for a small family to feel at-home and cozy. It is our wish to cover the cost of wear and tear that a large group can have on a property, while still offering an accessible price to our groups of just a few people. This is why our nightly rate is set low but increases when the guest count exceeds 4. We hope that this system will help us welcome more parties of all sizes and allow them to experience the beauty of the Delaware River Valley.
Neighborhood-
Nestled on the edge of the Delaware River, between 1000s of acres of state game land, this former apple farm boasts opportunities for bald eagle spotting, fishing, kayaking and tubing, or hiking to spot varieties of mushrooms, just to name a few.
If you prefer to sun yourself on the wrap around porch, or explore local farmers markets for tasty treats and people watching, all options will be at your fingertips when staying at our one-of-a-kind outdoorsy retreat.
Historic landmarks are abundant with the area serving as a conduit for floating rafts of coal to be sent up the D&H Canal to help power NYC and Philly. Adjacent to the property is the remnants of the Erie Railroad, chartered in 1832 to stretch from just north of NYC to Lake Erie. Reservations may be made in advance for private tours of the Shohola Caboose and Museum.
