This fast-paced position cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, constantly maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, in order to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility at all times.
• Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by the previous guest or is soiled and torn to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
• Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
• Strips bed of all linen and remakes with fresh, checking bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness, replacing if soiled. Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under the bed.
• Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets, and pillows.
• Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order to vacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard to reach areas.
• Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
• Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the proper department for prompt repair/resolution.
• Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Assists the laundry department by retrieving soiled linen from carts throughout the hotel, sorting laundry into correct size loads, utilizing industrial washers, dryers and pressers, folding and distributing the cleaned linen to storage closets and/or carts.
• Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Must have vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
• Must have the upper body strength to lift up to 25lbs. continually throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout the entire shift.
• Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout the entire shift.
• Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 25lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
• Must have a flexible schedule: May include nights, weekend, and holidays

1. Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner,
broom and carpet shampoo machine.
2. Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
3. Washes walls and ceiling, moves furniture and turn mattress.
4. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes. vacuums and polishes floor.
5. Dusts and polishes metalwork.
6. Collects soiled linen for laundering from housekeeping carts.
7. Assists in keeping the lobby area clean, neat and free of debris and
trash as needed.
8. Receives linen supplies from laundry and stocks linen closets on guest
floors in a neat organized manner.
9. Maintains housekeeping carts and stocks supplies.
10. Strips soiled linen from beds when asked to help housekeepers.
11. Removes trash collected by room attendants.
12. Walks all assigned floors at beginning, throughout the day and end of
shift to collect trash, soiled linen and other items as assigned by
management.
13. Transports clean linen to the housekeeping storage rooms on the floors
and refills the par stock of linen on each floor
14. Refills the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each
housekeeping storage area.
15. Helps the room attendants with heavy lifting and special cleaning
projects as directed.
16. Cleans all public areas in the prescribed manner while following
department standard operating procedures.
17. Removes soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service
areas and takes to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
18. Assists housekeeping with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra
bed etc. in appropriate fashion per standard operating procedures.
19. Reports missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to
the housekeeping supervisor and managers.
20. Responds at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other
colleagues.
21. Handles any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.
22. Maximizes job efficiency and orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart and stocks supply cart correctly
23. Operates vacuum cleaner according to operational procedures, replaces and/or empties vacuum cleaner on a regular basis
24. Ensures rapid maintenance and repair of hotel equipment by reporting all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
25. Turns in articles found in public space to lost and found
26. Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
27. Take every opportunity to impress the guest and promptly respond to and resolve guest complaints
28. Anticipate and exceed guest expectations
29. Smile, have eye contact and greet guests immediately upon each encounter
30. Handle special requests properly
31. Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in order to keep the hotel in compliance with the company and government's standards for functionality, cleanliness, safety, and security. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious General Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operation including sales and revenue generation, corporate account and revenue management, financial performance, guest and employee satisfaction, property maintenance and compliance with the policies of the owner and management company while meeting/exceeding revenue and profitability goals.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Director, Hotel Operations, Owners
Supervises: Hotel Staff
Interfaces with: Department Managers, Guests, Associates, and Vendors, Regional Sales Manager, Brand Management, WSLM Partners

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

Direct the daily operations of the Hotel.
Market and promote the Hotel to increase revenues.
Develop and manage the property budget; oversee purchases and monitor all expenses.
Manage Hotel forecasts.
Measure the effectiveness of marketing plans and yield management efforts and timely adjust Hotel strategy where necessary.
Oversee risk management and emergency procedures.
Ensure the Hotel has effective operational and financial controls in place.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, local codes, health and safety and other statutory requirements.
Oversee purchasing and payroll submissions for the property.
Maintain adequate staffing levels for hourly staff members in the rooms, food & beverage and maintenance departments.
Motivate team members by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding and recognizing employees.
Uphold brand and company standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection.
Maintain vendor/supplier relationships.
Direct, manage, and counsel employees.
Conduct regular employee meetings.
Create a friendly and efficient guest-service oriented environment.
Report to and communicate regularly with corporate personnel/ownership.
Maintain positive community relations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hotel management, or equivalent experience required.
Must have minimum two (2) years varied management experience in the hospitality industry.
Must be able to analyze a profit and loss statement and extrapolate information from it and related reports.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Must have working knowledge of accounting systems, property management systems and housekeeping products and procedures.
Must be familiar with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.
As General Manager, you will create and maintain customer-driven operations with a vision that inspires hotel associates to do their best. You will oversee the quality process to ensure guest satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service to achieve the hotel's financial objectives. This position requires experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget/forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance.
