💙 Travel with Purpose Week at Hilton Shreveport! 💙
At Hilton Shreveport, giving back is more than volunteering—it’s about showing up for our neighbors, investing in our future, and making a meaningful difference in the community we call home! 🌟
This week, Team Hilton Shreveport has been out in the community, rolling up our sleeves, lending a helping hand, and putting our purpose into action.
🥫 Serving Seniors at the Food Bank
We kicked off the week by volunteering at the Food Bank, helping distribute more than 300 care packages to seniors ages 60 and older in our community. From registering guests to loading care packages into vehicles, our team helped make the distribution process a little easier and brighter for local seniors. Every interaction was an opportunity to share kindness and remind others that their community cares.
🎒 Supporting Students Through Smile and Shine Kits
Next, our team visited a school with an incredible 103-year history of serving its community! We helped gather and organize items for the Smile and Shine Kits being prepared for all 320 students. These kits are designed to encourage students to prioritize their education, keep striving toward their goals, and believe in their potential. We’re proud to support initiatives that inspire the next generation to dream big and keep reaching for success!
🌱 Getting Our Hands Dirty at Shreveport Green Farm
Tuesday brought sunshine, hard work, and plenty of teamwork at Shreveport Green Farm, where fresh produce is grown and shared to give back to our community. Our team jumped in to help support the farm’s efforts, contributing our time and energy to an initiative that helps connect our community with fresh food. It was hot, it was hard work, and it was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together! 💚
🏫 Making a Difference at Cherokee Elementary School
After our time at the farm, we headed to Cherokee Elementary School to support students, teachers, and staff. Our team helped with recess duty, assisted in the cafeteria, and lent a hand to the school office team. From helping keep the school day running smoothly to supporting students throughout their day, we were happy to step in wherever we were needed. Sometimes, making a difference simply means being there to help!
❤️ Purpose in Action, One Project at a Time
Each project reminded us that community impact comes in many forms, from helping seniors access essential resources to encouraging students, supporting local food initiatives, and assisting the educators who pour so much into our children.
A HUGE THANK YOU to every Hilton Shreveport team member who volunteered, showed up with a positive attitude, and gave their time to these meaningful causes. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, proud of the difference we’re making together, and blessed to be part of such a wonderful community.
