Our Story

Canyon Ranch is a newly renovated ranch nestled in the heart of the Sierras, providing a magical place to wind down and reconnect with friends and family. Enjoy the sound of the bubbling creek that runs through the heart of our property and when the sun goes down, lie back and be captivated by the starry night sky. Our seven cabins have each been lovingly restored with the discerning traveller in mind and provide the perfect base to explore the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains.

Canyon Ranch is situated in the town of Sierraville and has been hosting travelers and backcountry enthusiasts since the 1950s. It was taken over by our family in fall 2019 and we've been lovingly bringing it to life ever since.

We believe connecting with nature should not have to mean roughing it and our modern cabins are a dreamy place to switch off and gather with friends and family.

Recently refurbished with all new furniture and fixtures, our cabins exude rustic modern charm. Bedrooms offer Casper mattresses, organic linens and Faribault wool blankets. So cozy you’ll be counting down the minutes until bedtime. Each cabin has a kitchen with enamel dinnerware from Canyon Crow Home and every utensil you’ll need to hunker down, gather and cook with friends and family. Lighting is by Schoolhouse and a private bathroom offers a shower with organic shampoo and body wash to refresh after a day connecting with Mother Nature.
