Mazama Campground is open for the season!

Adventure awaits at Crater Lake National Park! Mazama Campground is now open and welcoming first-come, first-served campers from now until June 30. Reservations are available on Recreation.gov for our season from July 1 - October 5.

Whether you're planning a weekend getaway, a family camping trip, or a basecamp for exploring the park, now is the perfect time to enjoy cool mountain air, star-filled skies, and unforgettable Crater Lake views.

When you arrive:
✅ Choose an available campsite displaying a GREEN "OPEN" sign
✅ Bring the sign to the Mazama Village Store Front Desk
✅ Complete registration and payment
✅ Enjoy your stay!

Sites are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis through June 30, so arrive early for the best selection. From July 1 through end of season, all site reservations are handled through Recreation.gov, with the exception of E Loop which is first come, first served all season long. Please check in at the Mazama Village Store front desk to secure walk in availability on the day of your stay.

Crater Lake is open for the season!

Spring is here and due to high demand, we are opening our beautiful Mazama cabins starting Friday, May 8th. Our Rim Village Cafe & Gift Shop is open daily 10am - 5pm and the Steel Visitor's Center is open 9am - 5pm. Snow levels are dropping fast and the park is coming alive for our May visitors. Limited rooms are available at the lodge starting Friday, May 15 for our season opening as well.

Did you know that Crater Lake is home to a special amphibian known as the Mazama Newt? Only found in the waters of Crater Lake, this unique newt is in danger from the invasive crayfish taking over the lakeshore.
