What does a day at Bluebird look like?
🚗 Pull your rig right up to the lodge! Yep—no paid parking or shuttles or other nightmares.
🎿Check in at the base. Pick up your day pass, grab your rental gear, snag a Backcountry Passport (adventure and challenge stamps hidden around the mountain!), and get oriented on where the best skiing will be. If you book a lesson, you’ll start here too, inside our warm lodge.
⛷️Start your hike up to the Perch. Pass our beacon checkpoint and get signed into the mountain. Enjoy a casual one-mile skin up with great views of Whiteley Peak and the goods you’ll be skiing later in the day. Along the way you can stop at the beacon park to practice.
🏔️Reach the Perch! Enjoy free hot chocolate and bacon, play some corn hole, and hang with your fellow bluebirders. We’ll be selling chili and grilling out here, plus we’ve added a few Adirondack chairs so you can enjoy the view. (Spring conditions this weekend = Party at the Perch)
🌲Above the Perch you’ll find the goods: beautiful skin tracks, epic views from Pride Rock, old-growth aspen glades, open slopes, and hidden stashes (if you can find them!).
🎿Back at the base: Grab a drink from your tailgate, hang with old and new friends around the firepit, light up the grill (bring your own veggies and meats!), and pat yourself on the back for tired legs.
