I'm writing to address the comments regarding our last post about the trail closure to Grand Isle. That post was made while I was away, with the sole purpose of communicating the landowner’s wish to close the trail.
Landowners are not required to provide a reason for closing access to their private property, and trail use is a privilege, not a right. The nature of some recent comments was unacceptable. Anyone who implied harm toward landowners and others or has made inappropriate comments have been blocked. Furthermore, I urge those commenting without knowledge of the facts to be more mindful of their responses or you many find yourself blocked in the future.
For those who have genuine questions, I hope the attached map is helpful. I will be updating the Polaris app shortly, however, please note that we have not joined TrailIntel and will not be providing updates through that platform.
