🎉 Welcome to KAJ, Jen Rothenbuehler!

We’re excited to welcome Jen Rothenbuehler as our new Director of Sales for the Sioux Falls Marriott Hotels! Jen brings extensive experience in both hotel sales and operations, and we’re excited to have her join the KAJ team.

Let’s Meet Jen:

🏨 Could you give a history on some of your hotel background?
I started my career in hospitality with John Q. Hammons Hotels, and I was part of the opening team of the Sheraton Hotel. I started as a Sales Assistant, was promoted to Catering Manager, then Sales Manager, and then Revenue Manager at the Sheraton Hotel. John Q. Hammons Hotels also owned the Holiday Inn City Centre, and I was transferred and promoted to Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn. After six years as Director of Sales, I was promoted to Assistant General Manager. I have loved the opportunity to be in various roles in both hotels, which has given me vast knowledge of both sales and operations. But my heart keeps coming back to sales, as I absolutely love to connect and meet with people! I am so excited to now be part of the KAJ team as Director of Sales!

🏡 Where is your hometown?
Gettysburg, SD.

📺 What is your favorite movie/TV show?
My husband and I love to watch series, and our current favorite is Dutton Ranch. We’re waiting for the next season to start!

🍣 What is your favorite food?
Sushi.

📚 What is your favorite hobby?
Hard to pick just one! Reading, walking our English Bulldog, and spending time with family outdoors.

🤝 What is your favorite thing about the hotel industry?
The people! I absolutely love getting to know each person on a personal basis and getting to know teammates and guests!

✨ Any fun facts?
I was able to travel to Canada to train for revenue management!

❤️ KAJ Cares: Feeding 300+ in Sioux Falls

Tony and Kate joined the Sioux Falls team at The Banquet Sioux Falls, where they helped serve meals to more than 300 people.

There’s something meaningful about sitting down, sharing a meal, and being part of a community that takes care of one another. Sometimes, giving back doesn’t have to be complicated — it can simply mean showing up, lending a hand, and being there.

It was a great reminder of why opportunities like this matter, and why supporting the people and organizations making a difference in the community is so important. ❤️

Meet Brian. ✨

Brian’s hospitality journey began in 2005 as a Front Desk Agent and led him through leadership roles across South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska before joining KAJ Hospitality as a Revenue Manager in 2018. His career has been built on growth, service, and a passion for creating great guest experiences. 📈

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, creating music, and collecting Hot Wheels. 🎵🚗

His favorite city to visit is Lincoln, Nebraska, a place filled with family memories. ❤️

One of Brian’s favorite KAJ memories was volunteering with YouthWorks during the Fargo Conference, giving back to the community alongside the KAJ team. 🤝

For Brian, hospitality is about turning challenges into opportunities—going the extra mile to make guests smile and creating experiences they'll remember long after they check out. 💙

I have been in the hotel industry for over six years. During that time, I worked my way up and served as the General Manager at 3 Palms Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. My experience has given me a strong passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.

I started as a housekeeper in February 2025, then became an Inspector in October 2025, and now I'm the Executive Housekeeper as of July 2026!

🏡 Where is your hometown?
I was born in Alpharetta, Georgia, but grew up in Gillette, Wyoming, for most of my life.

🎬 What is your favorite movie/TV show?
My favorite movie is Fast & Furious, and my favorite TV show is Outer Banks.

Alfredo pasta.

One of my favorite hobbies is photography!
