The Yacht Club at Sister Bay is home to many interesting species of wildlife! This Horned Grebe is a spring and fall migrant on Lake Michigan. They are spotted as they move toward their Canadian breeding grounds. They are small, diving waterbirds often seen in groups, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, hunting fish in shallow, clear coastal waters.

When making your way to Door County this summer keep in mind of the important wildlife in the area!
