Today marks five years of The DöRR in Sister Bay!
We began as a simple idea: a modern, Nordic-inspired hotel experience that blends contemporary style with local heritage. But over these past five years, we’ve grown into something much more personal - a place for people to gather, celebrate, and return to season after season. A gateway to Door County in every sense of the word, we’ve become both a landing place to settle in and a launching point for experiencing everything the peninsula has to offer.

We’ve had the privilege of hosting weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, corporate retreats, weekend getaways, and quiet moments in between. From snowy nights spent by the fire to summer evenings on the patio, The DöRR has become a part of so many stories. We’re incredibly grateful for that.

To our loyal guests - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to choose us as your place in Door County. To our neighbors in Sister Bay and our partners throughout Door County - thank you for helping make us what we are today. We’re proud to be part of this community and grateful to grow alongside so many wonderful local businesses and organizations.

Sister Bay’s first annual WINTER WELLNESS WEEKEND kicks off Friday night with a welcome party at The DöRR from 4-7pm. Snacks will be provided by our friends . Pick up an itinerary to see all the local participants and events. Dr. Rory Johnson of Door County Medical will host a fireside chat at the hotel on Saturday from 2-3pm discussing a number of topics to lead you into 2026 feeling healthy.
