The forest, mountains and ocean can be viewed from all rooms in this beautiful Cedar Chalet and rest assured, it has one of the most breath taking views in ALL of Alaska. You won't be disappointed!
Imagine sitting in the great room with its huge wooden beams and glowing wood stove, and watching as Whales, Orcas, Seals and Sea Lions swim within 100 feet from where you are sitting. You will also watch Bald Eagles soar overhead as countless Eagles call this area (Whale Point) home. Imagine the early morning swish as a Whale surfaces to get a breath of crisp, pure Alaskan air. Imagine watching a Brown Bear meandering past the cabin on his way to catch a fish or pick berries. And, imagine the peace and tranquility that you will experience relaxing in this cabin among the mist, the mountains, and being surrounded be the 17 million acre the jewel of the north, the Tongass National Forest with not a single neighbor any where nearby.

Located right across from Sitka's "Whale Park", the Golden Alaskan Lodge has a trail that goes down to the park, along with several other hiking trails through the forest. All of these trails can be accessed from the front door of the home.
Whale Park offers a wonderful view of Silver Bay, where you can often watch sea otter, seals and whales as they frolic and play.. Countless other trails and lakes are minutes away, including; Blue Lake-great for trout fishing, Thimbleberry Lake and waterfall, Tongass National Forest, Totem Park and more! All just a few minutes from The Alaska Pacific Chalet..
