The Ice Hole World Championship tournament has emerged as a mainstay, highly popular activity during the annual Somerset Snowfest

Embrace the icy action at the Ice Hole World Championship! Ice Hole is the game for ice fishermen (and women)–and anyone who likes to spend their winters out on the lake. It’s simple, drill two shallow holes, 33 feet apart, and start tossing the puck. Sort of like co****le but with a few more playing-field challenges!

Come enjoy both the competition and the spectator fun. Music, food, cash bar, beautiful scenery and good people help create a great atmosphere. The competition is "anything goes" as some years, experience wins the day, yet we've had first timers with the knack and some favorable ice bounces take home the prize.

Well we only had a little more than just a dusting overnight, but at least it was the light powder.

There was work done on 2 bridges today on the snohawks trail system. this bridge behind kennebec metals was put back into place and now needs the ramps rebuilt.
