Bait site update: caught these guys coming in for a snack. They are now entering their hyperphagia stage- They go from eating around 5,000 calories a day up to 20,000!

We sometimes take for granted how often the night sky here puts on a show — endless stars, and the Milky Way stretching clear overhead. In just a few short weeks, we’ll be sharing this view with many of you. Looking forward to another season of hunting and trading stories under the stars and around the fire.

We get lots of questions about what kind of bait we use, so here it is! Bait arrival day is always exciting for us. It means the beginning of the season is right around the corner.

We have been out in the woods over the last two months getting all of the sites brushed out and ready for the upcoming bear over bait and trapping season. With 120 sites, it takes some time. Even though today is the first day you can start baiting, we are already seeing lots of bear sign at a lot of our well established sites.
