Snow Hill Neighbors — Community Open House Giveaway Today!

As we start preparing the Cypress River Inn & Spa for drywall repairs and painting, we are clearing out many items from the inn and would truly love to see them reused by members of our community rather than thrown away.

Today from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, we will have an open-house giveaway at the inn. If you or someone you know could use any of these items, please stop by and take what you need. We will be tagging items that will be staying at the Inn.

Items available include:
• Furniture (including some antique pieces)
• Sheets and towels, pillows and all mattresses. Some bed frames
• Lamps
• Small televisions
• Window air conditioning units
• Various household items from the inn

Everything is free and first come, first served. We simply ask that you carry items out yourself.

We appreciate the Snow Hill community so much and would be happy if these items could find new homes locally instead of going to the landfill.

We are excited to officially share that we are in the final stages of purchasing the historic George Washington Purnell House, (which previously operated as the River House Inn ) and taking the next steps toward bringing Cypress River Inn & Spa to life - a future waterfront inn, spa and dining destination envisioned as a place for gathering, dining, and retreat on the Pocomoke River.

This blog introduces the concept, our vision for the property and how we hope to thoughtfully restore and reimagine it. We invite our neighbors to follow along as plans take shape and renovations begin. We welcome your ideas and look forward to seeing you at the inn!
