🎣 Fantastic Fishing at RW’s Fishing Resort! 🎣

This week’s young fishing star stole the show with a beautiful BIG silver salmon! 🌟🐟 As you can see, the next generation of anglers is getting in on the action!

The salmon have been biting on both bait and lures, and the pink salmon are keeping everyone entertained with plenty of action.

Out on Cook Inlet, our halibut boats had another good week, sending anglers home with some great fish and plenty of stories to tell.

Back at the resort, our weekly picnic was well attended, and Misty’s clam chowder was once again a huge hit! There’s nothing better than good fishing, good food, and a group of great people enjoying an Alaska summer together.

August is treating us well, and we’re looking forward to seeing what next week brings!

☀️ Another Great Week at RW’s Fishing & Big Eddy Resort! 🎣

We’re wrapping up another fantastic week. Alaska treated us to some beautiful weather—plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 70s!

🐟 Our boats headed out into Cook Inlet, where our guests landed several impressive halibut.

🥣 Friday afternoon’s picnic was a big success, and Misty’s homemade razor clam chowder was definitely a hit! A special thanks to our guests who provided the fresh razor clams.

😂 We also had one very innovative fisherman who proved you don’t need fancy equipment—he made his own rod holder using a lawn chair! Now that’s Alaskan ingenuity!

🎣 The silver salmon are showing up daily in the coolers, and even the kids are getting in on the action!

Great weather, big fish, good food, and plenty of laughs—that’s another memorable week at RW’s Fishing & Big Eddy Resort!

August Is Off to a Great Start at RW’s Fishing Resort!

The first week of August is here, and the silver salmon are showing up on the Kenai River — and some of them are BIG!

Our guides are finding the fish, dialing in the right lures, and putting our guests on some beautiful silvers. This week’s guests headed home with fresh, vacuum-sealed and boxed wild caught Alaska salmon and halibut ready for the freezer.

And you can’t beat the weather! We’ve been enjoying beautiful sunshine and temperatures near 70 degrees. No air conditioning needed up here — just cool Alaska evenings, fresh air, and great fishing with new and old friends!

Another fantastic week is in the books at RW’s Fishing Resort, and we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our returning guests and everyone who experienced the Kenai River with us for the very first time!

While this year’s sockeye run hasn’t matched the incredible numbers we saw last season, many of our guests are still heading home with limits of beautiful sockeye salmon and memories that will last a lifetime. Even better, the first silver salmon and pink salmon have started to arrive, and fishing is only getting more exciting!

To top it all off, we’ve been spoiled with breathtaking Alaska weather—wall-to-wall sunshine, blue skies, and temperatures in the mid-70s all week long. It has been the kind of weather every angler hopes for!

The fish are showing up in bigger numbers every day, and so are the smiles!

We’ve had another week filled with happy guests, full coolers and unforgettable memories on the Kenai River.

To top it off we celebrated RW‘s 80th birthday with an incredible evening of great food, laughter, and wonderful friends.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special celebration!

What a week to celebrate at RW’s Fishing Resort!.

The sockeye salmon are making their way up the Kenai River, and the fishing is getting better by the day.

Our guides are putting guest on sockeye and the smiles at the cleaning table say it all. The saltwater action has been outstanding as well with some beautiful 40 to 50 pound halibut coming over the rails and making for unforgettable Alaska memories.

We’ve had a week full of birthdays here at the resort. Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating with us. We’re honored you choose to spend your special day in Alaska with us. Whether you’re chasing sockeye on the river or halibut on the salt there’s no better place to celebrate then surrounded by great people, incredible scenery, and world class fishing.

The reds are coming! The reds are coming!

250 years ago, Paul Revere rode through the night warning that the British were coming. This Fourth of July, as AMERICA celebrates its 250th birthday, we’re excited to announce: THE REDS ARE COMING! Today, these were caught right from the bank at RW’s Fishing resort, signaling that the run is underway.
