Hello Facebook friends! We’re stepping out of winter and heading full speed into spring! Very soon, our English garden will be blooming and showing off as it does every year! If you’ve never stayed with us in the spring, it is probably the most magical and impressive season on the grounds. Consider spending a few weekdays or a long weekend. You will leave with some gorgeous photos and great memories! Hope to see you in the next couple months. Enjoy these photos from last year.

Happy New Year everyone! We wish you all a very healthy and peaceful year ahead!

We want to give you a heads up regarding room availability for the 4th of July big celebration this year. Several room options are still available but we believe they will go quickly. The Solomons Business Association just posted about the planned fireworks and that spurred some interest in rooms. If you are thinking about spending the 4th holiday on the island, please make a decision soon before we get booked. I’m sure it will be a fun-filled weekend. You just can’t beat Back Creek Inn for the 4th.

Good morning Back Creek Inn friends and everyone seeing this post. It’s been way too long since the page has been updated. We apologize for that.

We wanted to make sure we got the information out regarding the upcoming exciting event happening on the Island in October. Solomon’s Shuckit! will be held island-wide Saturday, October 11, 2025, and the new event will honor the long history of oystering off the island. The event will prompt restaurants to have amazing oyster specials on their menus, of course! Plus, there will be live entertainment, sales at the fine retail establishments, and other family activities. This will all take place around the annual Solomons Scarecrow Stroll and the Passport Program.

Back Creek Inn will have oyster-themed and island-themed fine art pieces available to browse and/or purchase that day. These pieces have been created by Carol, the owner of the Inn, for those who aren’t familiar. If you’re an Inn regular, you know how talented Carol is as her pieces hang throughout the Inn and on her gallery wall. For those who have never been to the Inn, it’s a good chance to stop by while strolling the island on the 11th.

The Inn is booked that weekend, but it’s never too early to book a room for the upcoming Solomon’s Christmas Walk, Saturday, December 13, 2025. If you’ve never been to the Christmas Walk, it’s really a magical time on the Island.

Back Creek is celebrating the 4th along with the entire island! The gardens are beautiful, the weather is perfect and the Inn is abuzz with guests! The Boat Parade was bigger than ever this year. The fireworks anticipation is building! Happy 4th weekend!

Hello friends! No, it hasn’t snowed here. Just updating the page in preparation for the holidays. Christmas Walk is the second weekend in December. Have you made plans yet?

Happy Spring friends of Back Creek Inn. It's been a while since I've posted. There have been some changes here at the Inn. You may have noticed that the "B&B" has been removed from this page and we are no longer a true Bed and Breakfast. I am scaling back on the management of the Inn and have decided it is best for me to run the property as an Inn. Nothing will change within the Inn but the breakfasts will be discontinued. As with all hospitality venues, it's become increasingly difficult to get and keep staff that is flexible with shifts that vary based on occupancy and season. I plan to try this method of management for the time being, but it is possible to return to a Bed and Breakfast if the market so dictates. I truly love all of my guests and I hope that this change will not impact your decision to stay at the Inn. I hope you understand and are supportive of this change. Thank you for your past support and your loving and positive comments on this page and on the Back Creek Buddies private group. I appreciate all of you so very much!
