Looks like some of our neighbors to the northeast of us had some troubles with the storms that went around us. Praying that all are well.

Update, we ended up getting .7 tenths of an inch of rain.

Nice thunderstorm with heavy rain and pea size hail. Not severe at this time but some real beneficial rains.

Morning showers and storms have cleared out. Into the evening, additional showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to develop. Some of these storms may be severe. The window for a tornado to develop is early in the evening across west central MN. With any storm that forms, wind and especially hail will be the primary threats.

The 3 km NAM suggests a supercell and threat could develop this evening across far northern Minnesota into southwestern Ontario!

We are chasing this wilderness area for tornadoes and a Lake Sturgeon or two

Slid a little more east, putting us basically in the middle of the greatest chances. Still a ways out so things can still change. Heating of the day will be a factor.

Morning storms may flirt with severe criteria this morning, mainly with hail to 1.25" and Gusts near 60 mph.

Late Day Storms will bring all hazards including Hail to 2", Gusts Near 70 mph and isolated tornadoes.
