We are live on Vacasa now. You can now rent the entire lodge like home beginning in May 2026. We are now called, "The Outlook at Flathead Lake." Thank you all again for your continued support and words of encouragment!

As we end our 28th year in business, we have decided to begin a new chapter and close the Bed and Breakfast. What an honor it has been to serve folks like you that come from all over the world to visit our neck of the woods. We had no idea when we opened so long ago that we would make lasting friendships, share laughter, tears and make memories together. When we started, our daughter Megan wasn’t quite one year old. She would sit in my backpack and tug on my hair while I cooked and served you. We would send our three-year-old son onto the deck with his big wheel to ride around and wake up anyone who was late to the table. We have had guests that have come every year since the beginning and watched our kids grow up. We lost loved ones over the years, always during “high season” and we remained open because this business was more than work, it fed our soul. There have been behind the scenes shenanigans that we can laugh about now, but at the time, were not that funny. We have witnessed weddings, engagements, anniversaries, reunions, special “one last time” getaways, and I can never forget a surprise visit from Bono! And thru it all, it was you that taught us, in one way or another, we are all traveling together on this journey called life. Thank you for that.
While Todd and I won’t be operating as the Outlook Inn Bed and Breakfast anymore, beginning May of 2026, you will be able to rent the Inn, in its entirety. We will operate as “The Outlook at Flathead Lake”. I will share more information on this and a link as soon as it is available.
But first we will rest and reflect on how glorious these years have been and how lucky we were to share them with you. Cheers!

It is a bittersweet day at the Outlook Inn as we say goodbye to our long time managers, Tom Malikie and Nancy Malikie. For the past five years, they kept the Inn running so we could have a few days off per week. They were much more than fantastic managers, they became close friends that we will miss. It is the end for this chapter but a new beginning for them as they will have more time to spend with their beautiful grandchildren. If you had the pleasure of meeting them during your stay here, wish them good luck for the future!
