What an incredible celebration! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Welch Park at Lake Somerville to celebrate 250 Years of Freedom with us. Your energy, smiles, and patriotic spirit made this one of the most memorable Fourth of July celebrations we’ve ever had!

A huge thank you goes out to all of our workers and volunteers who spent countless hours planning, setting up, working throughout the event, and cleaning up afterward. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your hard work, dedication, and willingness to serve our community.

We also want to give a very special thank you to Mayor Tommy Thompson and Sandy Thompson. ❤️ None of this would have been possible without your vision, leadership, countless hours of hard work, and unwavering support. Your commitment to our community and to making this celebration a success is truly appreciated, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you both do.

To every family, friend, camper, vendor, and visitor who spent your Fourth of July with us—thank you for making Welch Park the place to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Seeing our community come together in such a patriotic and joyful way is what this event is all about.

Unfortunately, as everyone was exiting the park following the event, we experienced an emergency situation that caused delays and inconveniences for many of our guests. We want to sincerely thank everyone for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during that time. We understand the inconvenience it created, and we greatly appreciate the respect and support shown by our visitors as emergency personnel and staff worked to address the situation safely.

We hope everyone had a safe, fun-filled holiday and made memories that will last a lifetime. We are already looking forward to making next year’s celebration even bigger and better!

The setup is happening, the water slides are going up, vendors are rolling in, and the festival area is getting ready for one incredible 4th of July celebration!

This year we’re changing things up! Instead of the big stage, we’re bringing the energy with an old-fashioned block party atmosphere right here at Welch Park. We want everyone out enjoying the music, great food, family fun, and making memories as we celebrate 250 Years of Freedom!
