Apparently our recent guests spent part of their stay horsin' around. 🐴

They left behind not one, not two but THREE horse portraits: two on the kitchen chalkboard and one in our guest book.

We're especially fond of the fact that the horses seem to have very different personalities. Two appear to have attended art school (one of whom was very fond of partying). The third looks like it has seen some things.

One of the unexpected joys of hosting creative people is discovering the artwork they leave behind.

At Art & Lodging, inspiration can apparently strike anywhere.

We had a wonderful time being one of the gardens featured on the South Bend Museum of Art annual fundraiser, Arts in Bloom Garden Walk. It was such a pleasure to welcome so many visitors and share the gardens at Art & Lodging.

Over the past few years we have poured a lot of time and care into the exterior spaces, and it was rewarding to see them enjoyed by so many people. From the daylilies, hosta, and ornamental trees to the shaded corners and everything in between, the garden continues to change throughout each season.

If you've been thinking about staying with us, summer is one of the most beautiful times to visit. 🌿🌸
