I missed the National Day of Sweden, June 6 (celebrated in honor of the election of Gustav Vasa as King of Sweden in 1523), and I missed Midsummer on June 22 (celebrating the summer solstice and the summer season). But I finally finished and hung my Swedish "flags" (made from old pallets - thank you Glen Courtright for pulling out your table saw) today to celebrate our Independence Day 🇺🇸 🇸🇪
I love the USA and all the freedoms it provides - the reason my Swedish (and other) relatives immigrated here in the first place.
