Our Story
Originally built in 1786, with various additions over the last 233 years, the Egremont Village Inn is on the National Historic Registry and is one of the oldest buildings in the area. It features 12 charming rooms, each of which offers a variety of amenities to accommodate your needs, including two dog-friendly rooms and one dog-friendly suite. A complimentary country breakfast celebrating local flavors and purveyors, including produce from our garden, is served daily with your stay.
The Inn sits on a beautiful property just two miles from Great Barrington and is one of the first stops across the New York and Connecticut state lines. It provides that just-right mix of convenience for a weekend getaway, proximity to Berkshires attractions, and country charm, including some charismatic chickens and goats.
About 150 feet from the Inn sits the Egremont Barn, which was built in the 1820s. After two years of meticulous restoration, it has become the premiere intimate live music venue in the area and has been featured in Vogue. On any given night, you can witness the best up-and-coming singer-songwriters and bands from around the country — on others, you may see a Grammy-winning legend perform. Dinner is available Wednesday to Sunday at the Barn from 5 p.m., in addition to a full bar featuring craft beer and cocktails. The menu offers healthy, unleveled pub fare with an ever-changing list of seasonal specials, and both indoor and outdoor seating are available.
