Happy, Happy Anniversary, sweet Haven Haus!

Two years ago, on this day, we opened our doors to our very first guests. We were SO excited to share our favorite place with anyone willing to stay with us. And in these last 2 years, we have had the pleasure of hosting nearly 80 different groups at The Haven Haus.

From all of the planning and saving and designing,
to the constructing and moving and decorating, it has been such an amazing blessing to see our vision of The Haven Haus come to life. ❤️

And to all of our guests - past, present, and future - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be a small part in helping your families and friends make some sweet memories 🫶🏻

We started framing!!

We have never built a house before, but everyone we know who has says that framing is the BEST part! The dream we’ve been envisioning and working so hard on for so long is actually starting to take shape. Someone pinch us - it almost doesn’t seem real!

Well, hello there new friends!

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve shared an update on The Haven Haus and a whole lot has happened in the meantime! So we will be spending the next few days catching up on all of the fun things!!

So let’s start with this: foundation.

Might not seem very exciting...

Building a house is a lot like ..... you have to have a rock solid foundation to build upon 😉

Starting to backfill today! Pouring the rest of the basement and garage floors and then…. FRAMING!!! 🏡

Basement is set! Next up: underground plumbing, stone and tile installation! Plus, we gotta backfill this beauty - Matt said there will be no moat around our fortress 😉
