Sun 'n Sand Resort We are proud to announce the return of the historic Sun ‘n Sand Resort to South Haven Michigan!

The Sun ‘n Sand Resort property has a long history in the South Haven area. Originally built as a lodging property in the 1920’s by Max Weinstein, the property is one of the few remaining resorts of the South Haven Jewish summer vacation era of the 1920’s and 30’s. The property was purchased in the early 1950’s by Max’ daughter Claire and Harold Wolf, who changed the name to the Sun ‘n Sand Motel.

The Wolf’s built a wonderful reputation for the property for its’ lovely accommodations and superb dining at the Seawolf Restaurant. The resort was sold to another party in late 2010, with a vision of returning the Resort to its’ past glory – as reflected in the decision to re-name the property as the Sun ‘n Sand Resort! The new owners and managers look forward to providing an exceptional venue for your summer vacation or family gathering!

Your Mission: To ensure the best possible impression for all guests at Sun ‘n Sand Resort.

The Front Desk Team Member is responsible for wow-ing our guests in areas of helpfulness, thoughtfulness, and creating a uniquely comfortable environment.

NOTE: This role may also be trained in our housekeeping department, expanding your opportunities!

Outcomes Expected:

-Be proficient in front desk systems, including reservation system.
-Be professional and positive on the phone and in-person at all times with guests.
-Be the point person for the resolution of any issue or question a guest may have.
-Occasionally fold and package room linens to be disbursed to rooms.
-Restock supplies on a regularly scheduled basis.
-Ensure guests are happy and have everything they need, at all times.
-Be responsive to the needs of guests, fellow team members and managers.
-Assist with detail/spot cleaning as needed.
-Assist guests and team managers/members with special needs as they arise.
-Present self with competence, positivity, and professional appearance at all times.

Competencies To Be Demonstrated:

-Servant’s Heart: sincere desire to serve guests at the highest level possible.
-Efficiency: able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
-Honesty/Integrity: does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidences. Does what is right, not just what is politically expedient. Speaks plainly and truthfully.
-Attention to details: does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
-Enthusiasm: exhibits passion and excitement over work. Has a can-do attitude.
-Listening skills: lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints.
-Follow-through on commitments: lives up to verbal and written agreements, regardless of personal cost.
-Punctuality: completes projects within a pre-determined timeframe.
-Coachability: demonstrates a willingness to be coached and to receive and apply instruction from senior management.

Compensation:

Front Desk Team Member will be paid on an hourly basis, based upon experience. Pay days are every other week.

Key areas of evaluation, as observed and assessed by the Resort Manager, will include the Outcomes and Competencies listed above, as well as your above-and-beyond-ism. Performance in these areas will determine ongoing and/or and future employment opportunities.

Your Mission: To ensure the best possible impression for all guests at Sun ‘n Sand Resort.The First Impressions Team Member is responsible for wow-ing our guests in areas of cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and creating a uniquely comfortable environment.

NOTE: This role may also be trained on our front desk, expanding your opportunities!

-Complete resort cleaning and upkeep procedures in an efficient manner.
-Complete laundry procedures in an efficient and timely manner.
-Fold and package room linens to be disbursed to rooms.
-Restock housekeeping supply carts on a regularly scheduled basis.
-Ensure guests are happy and have everything they need, at all times.
-Be responsive to the needs of guests, fellow team members and managers.
-Review and complete room cleaning checklist for assigned zone prior to moving to additional tasks .
-Assist with detail/spot cleaning as needed.
-Assist guests and team managers/members with special needs as they arise.
