We are Lucinda "sandyfeet" Wierenga and José Sanchez and we own (and live next door to) the fabled SandBox Inn. Free sandcastle lessons most times of year!

Sleeps as many as 12 in two apartments, big decks, pool table and pet-friendly with limited access to the large, native plant strewn backyard. The SandBox is a sculpture gallery, a working artist's studio, an intimate music venue and a haven for sun-seekers, creative people and their dogs -- just 280 steps from the Gulf of Mexico. The downstairs is the home of "sandy feet" - an internationally kno

wn master sand sculptor. Upstairs is a spacious private loft apartment which can be rented by the day or by the week. Sleeps as many as 10 people (if you really like each other ;-) and fully equipped with a piano, pool table and well-stocked designer kitchen. This property is registered with the City of South Padre Island Permit 2015-884836.

Usually when you buy something on Temu, it is not as big as you expect.
I ordered a size large dog crate and holy cow this thing is - maybe TOO BIG!

You could stash a Great Dane in that thing....

Most of my friends know that Jose and I own and rent out two _very pet-friendly units at the The Sandbox Inn of South Padre Island. What you may not know is that we manage a third (also pet-friendly) unit in a 4-plex right next door - and have been doing so throughout a succession of three different owners over the past 14 years. (SDM #3 is a more traditional 2BR/2BA unit with access to a small swimming pool.)

We are AirBnb Superhosts, with hundreds of favorable reviews. We feel that living right next door to the units we own/manage gives us a decided advantage in the SPI rental market. Trouble using the remote? We can be there in a flash. Dryer malfunctioning? We'll be right over to see if we can help figure it out -- or call in the repair guy asap.

We truly enjoy meeting guests (and their dogs!) and helping them have more fun on SPI by giving as much -- or as little -- of our time as they request or require. We feel that limiting our service to three units allows us to give every guest who stays with us personalized service -- so I am not writing this to solicit more management opportunities. We have our hands full!

What I am hoping is that if you - or someone you know - is looking to book some dates on SPI, you will visit stayonsaturn.com and see if we are a good fit. We are happy to negotiate rates, try to be flexible in our check-in/check-out times and will bend over backwards to do our part to make sure your stay on SPI is the best one ever.
