October in Maine has its own kind of abundance.

The last of the garden blooms meet the first signs of the season turning - chrysanthemums in warm, muted tones, burgundy scabiosa and sunflowers, wild goldenrod, ironweed, coppery Northern Sea Oats, strawflower, flowering kale, and pumpkins in every shape and shade.

For this month’s Floral Edit, we’re inspired by the colors and textures that make a Maine autumn feel so unmistakable: a little wild, a little romantic, and never too polished.

This November, we’re bringing a little extra holiday magic to Bear Mountain with our Holiday Market, and we’re looking for talented local makers and artisans to join us.

On Saturday, November 14, Bear Mountain Inn + Barn will be filled with local shopping, festive activities, food + drinks, live music, and plenty of holiday cheer, all leading into a special preview of our Winter Pub.

We’re thoughtfully curating a collection of makers and small businesses to be part of the day, and vendor applications are officially open!

just released its 2027 wedding trends, and while we’ll always have a soft spot for the timeless, a few of this year’s ideas immediately caught our attention.
