Peconic Dunes 4-H Camp is located on the North Fork of Long Island's East End. Peconic Dunes has content expertise in environmental science education, outdoor living education, outdoor recreation, and safety. Peconic Dunes offers overnight accommodations for up to 216 people. Our facilities range from 8-person rustic cabins to 32-person buildings with full bath and living room. One feature that ma

kes us unique is our two waterfronts, the freshwater Great Pond on one side of camp, and the Long Island Sound on the other. Our guests can swim, snorkel, sail, kayak, canoe, SUP, fish, and a whole lot more.

We strive to ensure camp is a magical place where everyone can learn and grow! Our goals for our campers are:

•Make Friends—Campers and staff come together from around the world to make unforgettable connections and memories.
•Learn—Campers have the opportunity to learn new skills and activities through hands on experience under the supervision of our activity instructors.
•Be Healthy—Camp is a perfect balance of activity, nutrition, and rest.
•Have Fun—Days at camp are full of adventure and laughter. Campers challenge themselves at camp with meeting new people and trying new activities.

Come visit Peconic Dunes 4-H Camp on February 15th! We are hosting an Open House to give families the opportunity to tour our campus, speak with staff, and give campers confidence in their summer plans. We will be scheduling time slots via email. If you are interested in attending, please email [email protected] with your desired tour time from the times listed below.

We are receiving many emails about waitlist positions. We understand wanting to know where your camper is on the waitlist but we see A LOT of movement on these lists registration day and the rest of the week. Our waitlists notifications are done via an automated system and we cannot give accurate information when there are so many fluctuating changes.

If your camper is on a waitlist, please keep an eye on your email for a waitlist notification so you can register them within the outlined timeframe. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Peconic Dunes CIT Program is now accepting applications for summer 2026! Join the Peconic Dunes community for three weeks and work with our counselors and staff to hone your peer mediation skills, career readiness, and complete activity apprenticeships. There is an optional Red Cross Training in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR available for an additional fee. Get your applications in by January 1st, 2026.
