One of the many great spots in town…this one happens to be my mom’s ;)

🍷 After a full day of exploring Southport, I had one mission left... find a really good bottle of wine.

I was hoping to find a local tasting room before heading back to my hotel, but I figured I'd waited too late.

Turns out... I hadn't.

I stumbled into Silver Coast Winery Downtown Southport Tasting & Taproom, and I'm so glad I did.

The little downtown tasting room is absolutely adorable, with local wines, tastings, and even North Carolina craft beers if wine isn't your thing.

What made me happiest, though? They had a Bordeaux—one of my favorite styles of wine—and it was much less expensive than I expected. 🍷

That bottle went straight back to my hotel and was the perfect way to end a day of walking, sightseeing, and exploring everything Southport has to offer.

Sometimes the best travel memories aren't the big attractions. Sometimes it's ending the day with a local bottle of wine and putting your feet up.
