Cool!!

We got a text from Chris and his crew aboard the Miss Alice (who we get our lobsters from) showcasing a pretty hefty lobster they caught. Here in Maine, lobsters with a carapace of over 5 inches must be thrown back into the water.
So thankfully the crew took this photo for us to share and then put him right back into the water! ♥️🦞

Kathe Newman Walton and Matthew Lawson Will Be at the Manset Meeting House Saturday!

MANSET—This Saturday, June 20, at 4 PM. Kathe Newman Walton, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and Matthew Lawson, history teacher at Mt. Desert Island High School will present information about these veterans and where they are buried here in Southwest Harbor, Manset, and the outer islands.

This is being held at the Manset Meetinghouse, home of the Southwest Harbor Historical Society 192 Seawall Rd. Southwest Harbor, ME This program is open to the public free of charge. Come one come all!

Our biggest event of the year, Maine Ocean Festival, is THREE DAYS LONG!

Get ready for new and returning speakers, a life-size inflatable whale, ocean-themed presentations, Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers, tons of unique art curated by Little Death, author signings, coffee, food, and crafts for all! We are so grateful to the organizations and people involved in the 2026 Maine Ocean Festival!
