TRAIL UPDATE: Trail access to/from the Great Sacandaga Lake is CLOSED! The Rail Trail to South Warren is also CLOSED! Effective immediately!! There is no to low snow coverage at these points. Sled traffic will only cause unnecessary damage. Please respect the landowners and DO NOT use these access points.

The rest of the trails remain open for now! However the less traffic the better until colder temps arrive.

The lake effect machine cranks into overdrive tonight. This is the scene tonight in Old Forge, NY.

1-3 feet of snow is expected over the next 24 hours in Lewis and Northern Herkimer Counties. This is in addition to the 2-4 feet of snow parts of the Tug Hill saw Tuesday.
