So, I need to share with you all, I have officially retired as of December 1. Waverly Place B & B is now closed, the sign is down and gracing a special wall in the house. The dining room is now exactly that again, Tammy, Lou and I are just living in this wonderful home. Thanks to you all for your support and business through these past 26 years.

I had no guests last night, first night in two weeks, planned to sleep in this morning. Alas, we had a thunder storm, very loud, was up before 6 am. So now I finally got dressed , check the mail, and enjoy my protein shake.

It looks like the innkeeper gets a night off today. Still hot weather, but not as bad as last week. I think I will be the one floating in Lake Waverly today.

Hot, hot, hot!!! Thank goodness we have air conditioning and a cool, refreshing pool to relax by and in. Lucky Waverly guests and family and friends.

Hot, hot day at Waverly Place, thank goodness for air conditioning. Guests and family enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Pray for those in the mid west and east coast, relief from the heat and the drought.

Yesterday, the Fourth of July, our 26th anniversary of doing business. We had family over to help us celebrate, good food, good company, a wonderful day. Little Kaleigh, our newest family member, about three months old, put her feet in the pool for the first time! What a great country we live in!!!

Mothers Day weekend May 11 through 15, yes three days. The local wineries are having their spring barrel tasting, wow, we have 20 wineries participating. We need three days to check them all out! Great weekend to be in Spokane!

Last weekend was Blooms Day, a wonderful sunny day in sunny Spokane. Nearly 48,000 folks completed the race, my guests included. They returned to Waverly Place for an after the race celebration brunch. Coming up this weekend, graduation for Whitworth and Gonzaga.

Looks like spring is finally here. Good time to visit Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane, the river is roaring! Spring run off is really a spectacular time in the park. Thank you Laurie for the pictures you posted.
