A few summer dates just opened up at Island View.

If you’ve been hoping to squeeze in a lake getaway this summer, we currently have:

Last Minute Opening: June 20–25
August 3–6
Labor Day weekend

After that, we’re booking into fall and winter, which are such beautiful seasons at the lake too.

We also open our calendar one year in advance, so it’s never too early to start thinking about holiday stays, spring break, or next summer’s lake week.

Summer in the Northwoods starts with the Hayward Musky Festival, celebrating Wisconsin’s state fish — and the laid-back lake life that comes with it.

Held each June in downtown Hayward, the weekend includes a classic car show, live music, craft booths, kids’ games, and of course, the Musky Run 5K & 10K. It’s one of those feel-good, everyone’s-out-on-Main-Street kind of weekends that remind you what small-town summers are all about.

After a day of food, fun, and festival vibes, head back to Island View Lake Home for a sunset paddle or fire by the lake.

Just a short drive from Island View Lake Home, the Spooner Golf Club is home to one of the area’s most loved summer traditions — Jack’s a Hack, celebrating its 31st year on June 18th, 2025.

It’s a full day of friendly competition, community connection, and a little Northwoods fun. Registration kicks off at 11am with a grill lunch before the noon shotgun start. After a day on the course, golfers gather back at the clubhouse for appetizers, drinks, raffles, awards, and a lively business social hosted by the Spooner Area Chamber of Commerce.

Whether you’re here to play, network, or just soak up the summer scene, it’s the perfect excuse to spend a day outdoors before heading back to the lake to unwind.

Not all guest reviews make us laugh out loud — but this one sure did. 😂

Here’s to good friends, great views, and the fierce competition that only a deck of UNO cards can bring.

Just 10 minutes from Island View Lake Home, the Namekagon River (say it with us: NAM-uh-KAH-gun) winds through Trego — a peaceful stretch of water known for fishing, paddling, and watching the seasons change.
This scenic river is part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, protected and cared for by the National Park Service. You’ll find public landings, calm current, and plenty of chances to spot wildlife along the banks.

Whether you cast a line, float the day away, or just sit back and listen to the water, the Namekagon always delivers a dose of that Up North calm.
