The sheep are getting acclimated (or not) to their new guardian……the looks of suspicion are evident

In moving sheep there are always a few who don’t make a clean transition from field to field. Today it was these three little girls. As I rounded the corner of a barn (Elise was herding the rest into the garden) these babies were crying for moms they couldn’t see. One must have thought, any port in a storm, and came running over to me (very unusual- usually run the other direction) so I picked her up . The other two thought about it but decided to run away from me by trying to plunge themselves through a 4x4 woven fence (didn’t fit, but allowed me time to scoop them up)
They are now happily reunited with moms.

Come join us 12/19/21 for a beautiful celebration of the season! The Christmas Concert will feature some fantastic talent and we will be treated to dinner by Holy Smokes BBQ. Its all free, but we would love to hear from you if you plan to come-want to make sure we have enough dinner for all! Donations will be accepted for St. Judes Ranch for Children, a wonderful organization right here in Comal County.
