Our Historic establishment was listed on the National Register and State Register of Historic Places in the fall of 2011; what a great feeling!
The Making of The Usonian Inn, initially named “Rest Haven Mote”
The Usonian Inn is Spring Green's first original Taliesin inspired inn.
It was built in the 1950’s; the project started in 1948 and it was in Operation in May of 1952; we provide sustainable accommodation, meeting the 21st century needs; free wifi and more. It's perfect for Frank Lloyd Wright's fans, it's an authentic design, a charming property built with the organic concept in mind. Read more on our web page under History tab.
We made it in 2018 to an awesome 70 year anniversary! Project started in 1948 by then apprentice, J.C. Caraway, - turn architect and it was erected under the watchful eyes of Frank Lloyd Wright, the Master and his guidance. https://www.wisconsinhistory.org/Records/NationalRegister/NR2355
