Hunting: The forested hills and valleys of Southwestern Wisconsin are perfect habitat for wildlife, and for avid hunters, a perfect place to match wits with white-tailed deer, wild turkey, or pheasant.

Love Wisconsin state parks and still need a pass?

We got you covered.

Due to high demand, you can now buy an annual state park pass online at https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/wi

Stickers available for purchase online include:
• Annual Wisconsin Resident: $28
• Wisconsin Resident Senior (65+): $13
• Non-Resident: $38

For now, only park passes can be purchased online. Meanwhile, we’re working hard to bring you more online options.

Annual trail passes and other park passes not listed above are still available for purchase with a credit card by phone from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. seven days a week by calling toll free: 1-888-305-0398.

As always, thank you for your support of Wisconsin state parks and hope to see you soon.

WISCONSIN STATE PARKS UPDATE 4/28/2020

Effective May 1, 2020, nearly all Wisconsin State Parks will be open with limited capacity. Annual admission passes and/or trail passes are required. New hours for all properties will be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. All properties will close weekly on Wednesday. All camping will be closed through May 26, 2020.

For full details including a list of the properties that will remain closed: https://www.facebook.com/WIDNR/posts/3334394549958056
----------------------------------------

We know you might be feeling a little stir-crazy at home. But rumor has it we’re heading toward a beautiful weekend!

As a reminder, 38 state properties mainly in southern Wisconsin are now closed. View them all, here:https://dnr.wi.gov/covid-19/documents/ClosureMap_41320.pdf

Even if a state park property near you is closed, you can still get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air.

In addition to the Ice Age Trail, all Wisconsin State Trails (linear/rail trails) remain open at this time.
(Trails of all uses located on the 38 closed properties are currently closed except for the Ice Age Trail.)

We know it’s a bummer – but don’t forget, all camping at Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, and recreation areas is closed through April 30, 2020.

Stay healthy out there.

Our friends at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources recently mapped the distribution of Bald Eagle nests in Wisconsin in 1974 and in 2019. Passage of the Clean Water Act and banning the production of certain chemicals (DDT, for one) have really made a difference in restoring the population of this magnificent bird.
