Dear, brothers
In accordance with the Book of Constitutions for the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the State of North Carolina, you are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at Fort Bragg Lodge No. 667, A.F. & A.M., 405 N. Main St., Spring Lake, NC 28390 on Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at 7:00 pm.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect Trustees for the period 2015 – 2016, and to discuss and approve the sale of the Lodge building and grounds.

If you have not been at the Lodge for a while, we would ask you to remember your obligation as it applies to the answering of Masonic Summonses. You officers need and want the support of the entire Lodge.

I have tickets for this now. Let me know if you want a ticket. They are $30 a piece, but you get a chance every day at one of these fine weapons. Don't wait, because they are going fast. If you let me know you want one, I will pull one out for you until I get the cash, and I will give you the stub when we see each other next. Drawing starts June 1st.

Brother Butch Pennabaker


Irvin Edgar "Butch" Pennabaker, Jr. 66 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Butch was retired US Postal Service with 37 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Warren, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Pennabaker of the home; son, Steven Gold and wife Linda of Middlesex; daughter, Jodi Wright of Fayetteville;
parents Ed and Alma Pennabaker of East Waterford, Pa.; brother, Fred Pennabaker of East Waterford, Pa. Grandchildren, Frankie Wright,
Stevie Gold, Brittney Watson, and Brianna Gold. Great grandson, Nate Watson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church 3101 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, N.C.28303.

Bro. Paul Rexford Holland, a 60 year member of Creasy Proctor Lodge No. 679 laid down the working tools of this life early today. Bro. Holland was born 10/01/1918 and was raised 11/21/1947. His request for a customary burial was made through his wife. In conformity with that ancient usage we will assemble in the character of Masons at 11:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Snyder Memorial Church.

Brothers, There is a stated communication on Tuesday the 2 of Dec., we will be electing Officer for 2015. Also remember that your 2015 dues are due and if you did not remember to pay your dues for 2014 then you will be NPD and will not be able to vote. I will also be talking about the sale of the lodge hall, just keep in mind that Fort Bragg Lodge is not a building but a union of BROTHERS with like goals and asperations.

Brothers,
The 2nd Degree set for 18 Nov has been canceled, we will to going to Hope Mills Lodge on the 20th to do the Second with them. I have already talked with David C. about it.
On another note; the Lodge voted to do what we can do to keek the lodge open in some form, keep our charter.
We also voted to put the lodge up for sale, to try to get out from under the det we have, it has already been listed.

• 25-27 September - Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of North
Carolina A.F. & A.M. Winston-Salem, NC. Thursday, 25 September is
Secretaries Day - please ensure that each Lodge Secretary attends the
workshops provided by the Grand Lodge on this day. We are looking
forward to holding a joint 17th-18th District steak dinner on Thursday
night, 25 September, with everyone who can make it. We did this last
year at a local restaurant and had a great time. If you've never been
to a Grand Lodge session before, please plan on attending. All Masters,
Wardens, and Secretaries are expected to attend

You are invited to attend the Public Knighting Ceremony conducted by Palestine Commandery No. 20, Knights Templar, at 6:00 pm, Saturday, 13 September 2014, at the Fayetteville Masonic Center on Village Drive. This beautiful and solemn ceremony is open to the public, and you do not have to be a member of the York Rite to attend. Please bring your family, friends, and interested visitors. A dessert reception will be held prior to the ceremony at 5:00 pm.

All York Rite members are reminded to attend the orders of knighthood tomorrow, Saturday, 13 September 2014, beginning at 9:00 am. Candidates report for instructions at 8:00 am, and degree work commences at 9:00.

9:00 am - Illustrious Order of the Red Cross
10:30 am - Mediterranean Pass
11:00 am - Order of Malta
12:00 pm - Lunch
1:00 pm - Order of the Temple
5:00 pm - Public Reception
6:00 pm - Public Knighting Ceremony

There will be a rehearsal for the Order of the Temple and the Public
Knighting Ceremony tonight at 7:00 pm at the Masonic Center.

Please come out and support the new York Rite class - and help out by playing a non-speaking role or by helping with moving sets around, etc. If you have not seen these orders in a long time, please come get
reacquainted with them.
