Popeye and Motor Lodges: Just thinking tonight about one of the things that makes us unique, and that sometimes people complain about - the fact that we are a MOTOR lodge. Yes, we sit right next to the road. Your car parks right outside your door. We don't have indoor hallways, which is part of our charm. We have tables and chairs outside our rooms, a cozy living room, and lounge. Our guests come from near and far and share stories from generations, calling this "their place." Our guests play their guitars while sitting outside their rooms, or a fiddle next to the crackling fireplace. They clean fish while sharing tales of the amazing catch. They play Jenga and co****le or BBQ on the lawn. Their fur babies enjoy treats and lounging on the grass.
As our beloved Popeye used to say, "I y'am what I y'am, and that's all what I am." We are what we are, and we love what we are. We love being a Motor Lodge; that is who we are... And more importantly, our guests love who we are!
