If you grew up in Springhill, chances are you have a few memories of Draggin’ Main. 🚗✨

On October 10, it’s time to make a few more!

After a full day at the Lumberjack Festival, stick around Downtown Springhill as one of our favorite traditions takes over Main Street.

Roll down the windows, turn up the music, and cruise Main for a night of good cars, familiar faces, and plenty of nostalgia. 🎶

Let’s keep this Springhill tradition rolling!

Sheriff Jason Parker participated in a Saturday event which raised funds to help a local service club form a group with the goal of instructing children 12 years old and younger how to become involved in community service.

Saturday’s event, sponsored by the Minden Evening Lions Club, raised more than $1,100 and will be used in teaching age-appropriate service projects. Kids will also learn the value of helping others.

Evening Lions raised the money with a dunking booth, face painting and other games designed for community participation.

“We’re always ready to help worthwhile projects, especially those that are designed to help our children,” Sheriff Parker said. “I applaud the Minden Evening Lions Club for their service to our community and parish.”

This is your chance to hear from candidates in real time, in their own words, on real issues that matter to YOU.

Submit your questions at SpringhillLA.com/forum . Submitted questions are reviewed by Chamber Staff and Executive Board of Directors and a selection will be posed to candidates live on stage. Deadline to submit: September 23, 2026.
