Because of all of the 5 star reviews and the reasonable price, we decided to stay at the Quarry House! There is a working lobster wharf just below and in front of the cabin. Our only regret is that we stayed off season. Don’t get us wrong, it was great having this beautiful spot all to ourselves, but would also have loved to watch the operation of the wharf!! So we plan to go back during the season..problem solved!! There are no cons for us regarding this location. We were 15 to 20 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of any nearby towns. Perfect for us! The house was totally equipped with all the conveniences of our own home. All we had to add was food, unless you want to eat out every meal, then you don’t even have to do that! Every amenity needed was there! WiFi, TV, great phone reception (Verizon), fully stocked kitchen. It was the most relaxed vacation we have ever had. It was very cold, even got snow one day, but the views from the living room, dining room and kitchen were breathtaking! We loved watching the tides go in and out! Our hosts, Gail and Mark Miller were fantastic! Unfortunately we never got to meet them in person, but they were only a text or phone call away. And we could tell they were awesome folks, just by their attitudes on the phone or through their texts. You will not be disappointed staying at the Miller’s little piece of paradise!! Remember the Quarry House when you want to book your next Maine vacation!!!

Won’t be long and the snow will be gone and the flowers blooming. I cant wait to smell the salt air and feel the warm summer sun on my face. Not many summer weeks left available at the Quarry House! Check it out on Homeaway.

Winter morning on the wharf! All the floats stacked up and no boats in the bay! I’m missing all the activity today, but it is peaceful and beautiful!
